Specimen Requirements

Specimen must arrive and be tested within 4 hours of draw.

It is recommend to aviod sending specimens via pneumatic tubes systems.

Draw a full, light blue-top (3.2% sodium citrate) tube(s). Do not centrifuge. Forward promptly at ambient temperature only. If necessary call for a STAT pickup to assure timely testing.
