Specimen Requirements

Specimen should be centrifuged and tested within 4 hours of draw.

Draw blood in a light blue-top (sodium citrate) tube (0.3 mL of sodium citrate plasma). Refrigerate plasma immediately after centrifugation and send specimen refrigerated, or send unspun blood to laboratory within 4 hours of draw.
