Specimen Requirements

Acceptable Specimens:
Genital swab for yeast, respiratory secretions, skin scrapings, or tissue

1. Aseptically collect specimen in a screw-capped, sterile container.

2. Maintain sterility and forward promptly.

Note:  1. Prepared, unfixed smears may also be sent.

2. Specimen source is required on request form for processing.
