Specimen Requirements
Specimen must arrive within 96 hours of collection.
Specimen Type: Preserved Stool
Container Type: Para-PakR C&S transort vial: 15 ml of an isotonic non-nutritive buffered solution specific for recover of enteric pathogens from fecal specimens.
Collection Instructions: Collect fresh stool and add an amount, using built-in collection spoon, to raise level of liquid in vial to the "Add Specimen to this Line" marked on the outside of the vial. This will be about 1 gram or 5 mls of stool.
