Preferred Specimen: Serum Seperator Tube (SST)

Alternate Specimen: Red Top Tube

Required Volume: 1.5ml

Negative

 

Low positive specimens (COI reading of greater than or equal to 1.00 and <150) will be automatically sent for HCV- RNA detection and Quantification by RT-PCR.

 

Positive during late acute, or chronic hepatitis C.
