CHOLESTEROL, LDL (Direct Measurement):
- Optimal: <100 mg/dL
- Near optimal: 100 - 129 mg/dL
- Borderline: 130 - 159 mg/dL
- High: 160 - 189 mg/dL
- Very high: >189 mg/dL
VLDL (CALCULATED):
- Males: 5-51 mg/dL
- Females: 5-41 mg/dL
